I am recently married, new to the area, and have a cat. I have worked with many children, from many different communities, and of all different ages. I once worked at the Indianapolis Children's Museum and had the privilege of providing a summer outreach to the local community of children. We were able to explore the museum daily, go on field trips weekly, and have a lot of fun. I have also been a part of AMERICORPS VISTA for a summer where I worked at a community center in Michigan providing a summer camp that fought summer learning loss for elementary and middle school students who lived in the local communities. All through college I spent my summers working at a summer camp as a camp counselor. Most recently, I was a Director for a before and after school care program that operated out of an elementary school. For this position I was the manager at my site, provided curriculum, daily plans, family nights, etc. Additionally, I worked with school personnel such as the lead care taker and principal to make sure that I could provide the highest level of care to my students. I loved getting to know the families and worked to pass along my passions to the parents and guardians. My high energy and extreme patiences helps to make me a very creative tutor. I love to read, watch tv and movies, go to sporting events (especially since my husband is a college football coach), and spend time with friends.
